Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. Who we are

BingeShelf ("BingeShelf," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at BingeShelf.com and a weekly email newsletter (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The entity responsible for your information is ORANGETIME HOLDINGS LIMITED, reachable at support@bingeshelf.com and RM. 1801, Easey Comm. Bldg., 253–261 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Any details you choose to send us — for example, if you email us or reply to a newsletter.

Information collected automatically

  • Email engagement data — whether you open emails and which links you click, collected via our email provider, Beehiiv.
  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited on our website, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we use your information

  • To send you the BingeShelf newsletter and related emails you signed up for.
  • To measure engagement so we can improve our content.
  • To operate, maintain, and secure our website and Service.
  • To respond to your questions or requests.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service:

  • Beehiiv, Inc. — our email newsletter platform. Beehiiv stores subscriber data and sends emails on our behalf, acting as our service provider. Beehiiv's own handling of data is governed by its privacy policy (see beehiiv.com/privacy).
  • Website & hosting providers — Railway hosts our website. We do not use analytics or advertising providers.
  • Legal & safety — where required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not share your personal information with advertisers or sponsors.

5. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control non-essential cookies through our cookie banner and your browser settings. We use only first-party, functional cookies — for example, to remember which version of a page you were shown and your cookie choice. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not allow third-party trackers.

6. Data retention

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we retain a minimal suppression record so we don't email you again, and delete your other personal data within 30 days. We keep other data only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law.

7. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
  • Request access to or deletion of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CPRA. To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@bingeshelf.com and we will respond as required by law.

8. Other US states & international visitors

Residents of certain other US states may have similar rights to access, correct, or delete their personal information. To make any such request, contact us at privacy@bingeshelf.com.

Our Service is intended for users in the United States. If you access it from outside the US (including the EU/UK), you do so on your own initiative, and your information will be processed in the United States. If you are in the EU or UK and have questions about your data, contact us at privacy@bingeshelf.com.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
